Pure apple, lemon-grass, a lusty gulp of slate and lime. Rich textured and soft in its acidity. Very nice and a great value, if not a steal for estate bottled steep-slope Riesling. Great sipping wine and wonderful company for salads with vinaigrette and lighter style chicken dishes. (drink now-4 yrs)

A big kabinett, with earth, spice and a slight herbal element on a dense structure. Long finish. Tightly wound now.

This has to be the best Kabinett Konrad has ever made. A spicy, twiggy, pikant wine; keen, intense sassafrassy nose; fascinating, almost fennelly palate, drenched with mineral. Fibrous, apple-skin finish, with a lovely curranty note. Excellent value. (2-6 yrs)

Firm, dense and backward, here's a '98 spatlese offering lime and slate notes on an elegant frame, very clean and pure, with a fine finish. Best from 2001 through 2005.Tastingnote by Wine Spectator 2/2000

A '98 auslese with substance, this offers ripe apricot, fig and honey, offset by very bracing acidity. A touch coarse on the finish, it needs time to come together. Drink through 2005.Tastingnote by Wine Spectator 2/2000
